| Description | Hi Sheila, SKB is planning to introduce new RCU for Eagle with added smartTV control function. Please find the new RCU datasheet as attached. - RemoteSolution : BRM-BA03 / BRM-BT12 - Movon : BMM-BA03 / BMM-BT12 Until this year, the original RCU and the new RCU will be used together. So you can use both RCUs in production. And the new RCU should be partly applied from Sep demand. So we need to proceed with the FXN P/N process asap. Could you please check how long the FXN P/N process for the new RCU will take? Thank you. | ||||

Hi JW, I'd like to check a few points with you. 1) What are the differences between old/new RCU? 2) Please double check that if the new RCU will be introduced as 2nd source (old and new RCU both exist)? or it will be phased in as running change materials (new RCU will fully replace old RCU until old RCU use up)? 3) Based on the answer to the 2nd question, how will ALT arrange the future shipment of Eagle with old and new RCU? To apply for Foxconn P/N, we will need ALT to provide certain documents. I will check internally and let you know later. Thank you. BR, Carey Lu |

Hi Carey, 1) What are the differences between old/new RCU? -> Cosmetically, the B tv power(B tv 전원) button has been changed to a smart TV(스마트 TV) button. 2) Please double check that if the new RCU will be introduced as 2nd source (old and new RCU both exist)? or it will be phased in as running change materials (new RCU will fully replace old RCU until old RCU use up)? -> The new RCU and the old RCU will be used together only until the old RCU used up. Then new RCU will fully replace old RCU. 3) Based on the answer to the 2nd question, how will ALT arrange the future shipment of Eagle with old and new RCU -> Normally, both the new RCU and the old RCU can be used in production together, but if necessary ALT can specify which lot the new RCU will be used in. @jwkim Hi JW, In order to apply for new Foxconn PN, we need "Steve" to send out an email to confirm that ALT assign these 2 vendors(Movon/RemoteSolution) for new RCU(buy & sell). Also, Fii CE requested to provide the dimension in more detail and higher resolution dimension sheet for Movon RCU(P.8). (like what Remote solution provided in the datasheet (example from P.41 [RemoteSolution]BRM-BA03_Approval_sheet_210827 - ENG) And one more question: ALT-> The new RCU and the old RCU will be used together only until the old RCU used up. Then new RCU will fully replace old RCU. --> Fii) Do you know how many old RCU left at vendor side? From my understanding, the old RCU stock in our factory can be used up for Sep demand. Thank you. Hi Carey, 1. Steve has sent you an email on the assignment of new RCU. 2. I asked the vendor to update the dimensions with more detail and higher resolution. I think we can provide an updated datasheet early next week. 3. Vendors still have around 100K stocks of old RCU. However, SKB wants a quick launch of the new RCU. So we should use both the new RCU and the old RCU until this year. Thank you. Best Regards, |

Hi Carey, When will the new RCU's PN be available? The vendor is waiting for the PN to ship the new RCU, and as I mentioned, the new RCU should be partially delivered to SKB in Oct. Thank you. Best Regards, |

Hi Carey, We have already provided Fii RD with samples of 2pcs new RCUs each by model and vendor. Some were delivered as handcarry via Fii's Korean dispatcher, and some were delivered via Fedex as attached. So please double check internally. Thank you. Best Regards, |
